A pinch of jazz and a sip of coffee. Well, there's more than this about our hangout this week. Java City, the coffee joint very conveniently located on Lavelle Road, promises youngsters a great time with their friends other than their specialities in coffee and snacks. Started off around June last year, this coffee stop has been in talk ever since amongst teens and the college crowd. Young people just come to. chill out here, some for music and some with appetite for rich coffee!

"We have over 50 varieties of exquisite coffees, both hot and cold. This humungous variety is a real attraction to coffee loving youth in Bangalore." says Mr. Raj. Madnani, Manager, Java City. The menu absolutely freaks out on options in coffee which would really tingle the coffee addicted tastebuds. Quick research indicated that the cold coffees were more in demand in den amongst the younger lot. It also boasts of an entire range of Italian coffees and others from round the world. From strong and rich cappuccinos to the world's most exquisite "Jamaican Blue Mountain Coffee" it's all here. Slightly expensive but you surely wouldn't mind paying for that special flavour. The combination of chairs with a few wooden benches here and there adds a theme to this place. I find this place to have an Italian ambience with good crowd around. Just the right place to chill out after hectic college hours sipping some nice

light cold coffee, says Shankar Saklani, a Final B Com student from Christ College.

The place has a good seating space with almost 30 tables but all the same, you'd also love to stand around the wall catching up on conversation with your friends as it is very usually noticed. Other things on the menu also include stuff like Euro sodas which are also popular. The snacks here are more so continental with butter croissants, grilled and cold sandwiches. There is also a bit of Indian fast food like chaats, pav varieties and tikka rolls for those die hard Indian snackers. The pastries are very exotic with the fast-moving rum and chocolate ones. "It’s a good place to let loose and have fun with your pals. I especially love" the pastries but certainly not without the coffee." says Rajiv Biswas, a BE student from MS Ramaiah College. Another reason why youth throng this place is the music which is quite unprecedented than other places of the kind. With pop and rock screeching ears at almost all the other cafes, Java City has been very popularly signified as a joint playing quintessentially Jazz and only Jazz. And the crowd just loves it. In fact, a particular section of crowd just comes to freak out on the Jazz played over here. The Jazz played here is awesome and I don't find any other place which plays such good Jazz." narrates Sushant from SJCC. So, all you jazz fans out there! Do not forget to log in here. You can at the same time trip over some good coffee and snacks. You'll need many a visit to get through all the coffees though. All in all, the usual college crowd is reported to be found between 4 to 8.30 pm. Wish you guys good JAZZIN'.
